CHRICED is structured as a three-layer institution for effective, transparent and accountable corporate governance
The Advisory Council
It is composed of eminent individuals who have distinguished themselves in their respective areas of endeavours. It meets at least once in a year to provide leadership and guidance to the Centre. Although the Council does not have formal decision-making powers, the Advisory Council provides guidance to the Board and Secretariat in an effective manner.
The Board of Directors
The Board of CHRICED is responsible for policy formulation in accordance with the guidance received from the Advisory Council. The Board provides strategic direction and approves the work of the Secretariat. It meets at least twice a year; in between, a Management Committee comprising three Board members and the Executive Director is responsible for the work of the Centre.
The Secretariat is the administrative and coordinating Centre of the organization. It is headed by the Executive Director who is mandated according to the aims and objectives of the Centre to manage and steer the organization to success. The Executive Director is responsible for the recruitment of core staff, subject to the approval of the Board, and s/he is answerable to the Board.
